Just a wee trim

"Hairy Barry"
Medium: Ink, China Marker, Colored Pencil, & Marker

Maintaining your beard is very important. If you don't keep an eye on it, a beard will keep growing & growing until it has completely consumed your face. It is very important in the early stages of stubble to let your facial hair know who is boss. Otherwise, the curls will rise up as one and attack the owner....and it's never a pretty sight when a beard engulfs a human being. I've seen it a hundred times and it's never pretty.

Fancy Schmancy

"Fishy Gent"
Medium: Ink & Marker

Classy catfish that was a warm-up sketch,
which took about 5-10 minutes.
Nothing is more dapper than a fish wearing a top hat.
Stay classy, fishy gent!

Mister Grimble

"Mister Grimble"
Medium: Ink & Marker

To any fan that still checks this site, thank you for your patience. I'm still alive and kicking. Many things have been happening in my life as of late- I've been going off on adventures, learning new things, and discovering that it is possible to lick your elbow. I'm going to start updating once again, and hopefully, I'll be able to follow a schedule this time.

But enough about me, let's talk about Mister Grimble. He likes long walks on the beaches and poetry about snails. Hailing all the way from Belgium, this little fellow is a hobgoblin with a heart of gold....or at least a heart covered in golden aluminum foil. Ain't he adorable?

Who has the last laugh?

Featherless Joe (Work In Progress)
Watercolor & Ink

Imagine the Grim Reaper as a Bird, and Featherless Joe will come to mind....or at least my mind that is. This monster has been so much fun to work on from the beginning concepts to the near completion of inking. It all started with the idea of personifying Death as a bird.....In my mind, Death is a molting feeble bird that is too weak to fly. Although it yearns to soar up into the sky, it is forever cursed to walk the earth while it's fellow bretheren roam freely amongst the stars. Other Birds mock this poor creature since it has fallen from grace and cannot experience the joys of life in the air. They whistle and crow as they fly up towards the clouds, Taunting poor Featherless Joe who must remain on the ground....But the joke is on them. Although their wings can carry them all the way to the gates of  heaven, sooner or later these birds will have to come back down to earth......back to where Featherless Joe awaits ever so patiently.
